OUR PROGRAMMES
COMMUNITY NUTRITION
The Community Nutrition Programme has become our community’s strongest line of defense against hunger providing over 500 people with 6000 meals per month. We also provide food parcels for the elderly through the Senior Grocery Programme, meeting the specific needs of seniors by providing balanced, nutritious meals they can easily make at home.

The objectives of the programme are the following:

To tackle poverty and improve the nutritional status of communities

To combat food insecurity by establishing vegetable gardens across the community.

To offer basic skills such as gardening, baking, knitting and beadwork to the the elderly and the unemployed so they can become self-reliant.

Improve the health and well-being of senior citizens and prevent depression and malnutrition.
SKILLS & CAREER DEVELOPMENT
The Community Bible Society's Skills and Career Development Programme provides tools and opportunities necessary for career placement that leads to economic self-sufficiency.

The Objectives of the programme are as follows:

Capacity Building through soft skills training

Provide technical skills in computer training, gardening, baking, carpentry and electrical skills.

Promote exposure and experiential learning.

Advocate for government and industry to give opportunities to unemployed youth.

Develop a mobile based digital platform where youth can be linked to opportunities and resources.

Increase the number of youth that have relevant leadership skills.
EMERGING LEADERS
The Community Bible Society's Emerging Leaders Programme is designed to connect young leaders with a passion for change with the skills and resources they need to become effective leaders in their communities.
The objectives of the programme are as follows:

Enhance opportunities for mentoring, voluntary service, capacity building, skills development training and apprenticeship for youth

Identify bursary and travel opportunities for youth

Nurture and mentor young people in social entrepreneurship roles to succeed in their chosen field

Drive social progress and inspire political and economic change in urban and rural areas.
after school programme
The Community Bible Society's After School Programme helps increase student achievement and graduation in under-resourced communities. The programme focuses on creative arts and teaches the following disciplines: Drame, Music, Dance, Visual Arts and Martial Arts.
The objectives of the programme include

Promote a culture of learning among young people in our schools and outside of the classrooms through our after-school programme.

Create a conducive and safe space where young people are encouraged to express themselves creatively and artistically.

Promote enhanced life skills education in order to encourage self-leadership and foster accountability.
